Overview
Hatom is a DeFi ecosystem that brings together lending, staking, and a native stablecoin into a unified platform. This project focuses on refining the user experience of a complex financial system, with an emphasis on clarity, usability, and decision-making.

The work explores how advanced DeFi functionality can be structured into a more intuitive and accessible interface. The V2 redesign introduces a modular, state-driven interaction model, moving away from traditional scroll-based layouts to improve speed, clarity, and user focus across key flows.
Challenges
The primary challenge was simplifying a highly complex DeFi ecosystem without removing essential information. Users need access to detailed financial data such as availability, fees, exchange rates, and waiting periods, but presenting all of this at once risks overwhelming the interface.
Another key challenge was redesigning the unstake journey to support faster and more confident decision-making. This required restructuring the information hierarchy and introducing clearer feedback mechanisms so users could quickly understand their options, including timing, costs, and liquidity.
Additionally, transitioning from a traditional scroll-based interface to a modular, state-driven layout introduced structural complexity. The new interaction model needed to remain intuitive while improving performance, clarity, and responsiveness across different user states.
Results
The redesigned experience improves clarity and usability across core DeFi interactions, particularly within the unstake flow. By restructuring the interface and introducing contextual guidance, users can better understand availability, timing, and fees at a glance, enabling faster and more informed decisions.
The shift to a modular, state-driven layout enhances navigation efficiency and reduces cognitive load by presenting only relevant information at each step. The introduction of features such as “Instant Unstake” further supports flexibility and reduces friction in time-sensitive scenarios.
Overall, the project demonstrates a more scalable and user-centered approach to designing complex financial interfaces, balancing transparency, performance, and usability within a high-stakes DeFi environment.
